Adventure Caving
@ Ingleborough cave

Into the beyond

Have you ever wondered what lies beyond the public section of Ingleborough Cave? Perhaps you haven’t even been in, but you want to give Caving a try?

Let one of our experienced Cave Leaders guide you through the passages of Cellar Gallery, through the old fan door and the mysterious waters of the Styx to the 2nd Gothic Arch, before landing in the impressive Giant’s Hall.

See stalagmites, flowstones, scallops, fossils and much more!

What Will I Need?

We provide the essentials (I.E. helmet, caving suit). All you need to bring is an old set of clothes that you don’t mind getting muddy and wet to wear under your caving suit, a towel, and a change of clothes to change back in to after the trip. Wellies are also strongly recommended, although we can provide these for a small hire fee if need be.

Fitness/Ability Requirements

The Adventure Caving trip is aimed at those wanting to “give caving a go”, so no caving experience is required. However, the trips require walking, stooping and crawling. You must feel able to complete approximately 2 hours of moderate physical exertion and be willing to complete a confidential medical/emergency contact form disclosing any illnesses/conditions/medications for your leader’s awareness.

Minimum ages:

All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their legal guardian for regular trips.  We wouldn’t recommend bringing children under the age of 8 on the trips. If you are unsure as to your child’s suitability, get in touch
