Getting here

Located on the south side of Ingleborough, just above the picturesque village of Clapham in the Yorkshire Dales, we are easily accessible by road and rail. Select below for more details on how to get here.

Access to the Cave is on foot via the 1.23 mile Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail, and a small charge is made which goes towards the maintenance of the trail. The trail passes through beautiful woodland, past a lake along a well maintained gravel track, and is suitable for all ages. You should allow a minimum of half an hour for the walk. By Car

Clapham is located just off the A65 Leeds – Skipton – Kendal trunk road, and offers ample parking in the Yorkshire Dales National Car Park.

From the car park, travel on foot and follow the signed route to Ingleborough Cave and Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail, where you will find our ticket foyer.

By Bus

Kirkby Lonsdale Coach Hire operates the Craven Connection bus service running from Lancaster, along the Lune Valley, via Kirkby Lonsdale, Settle and finally through to Skipton. This regular service stops at the New Inn in the centre of Clapham village. From there simply follow the signs for Ingleborough Cave and Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail. 

By Train

Clapham station is serviced by Northern rail with hourly trains from Leeds and Lancaster & Morecambe. 

Please note, Clapham Train Station is located approximately 1.2 miles out of the village centre. Head down station road and follow the signs.
